Self-Reflection and Contribution to my field My role in the classroom and as an administrator has changed for the positive. I was always using technology in a variety of ways, but I did not know nor understand the difference between using technology and being a blended classroom. By taking the certification courses it changed the way I think, as a teacher, and it changed the techniques I use with my students. I learned so many new techniques and web tools to use. In addition to those web tools and techniques, really understanding what a blended classroom looks like and the benefits to it. As I made the transition from teacher to leader in my career the education journey has taught me a lot about myself and where I want to go in my career. I have also learned more than I expected from the journey. I tend to use the new knowledge and skills in my leadership career.
Through this journey I will now be able to add my expertise to leadership conferences in my district, the conversations which occur around leadership, and continue to be a leader in my district who strives every day to make a difference in a school's performance. These are the different areas in which I will continue to use my knowledge and skills to support my field of educational leadership.
